Dovetail insert compatible with ohhunt’s RMSc two-piece adapter plate
I purchased this adapter plate given its similarity to ohhunt’s RMSc two piece design which also uses an adapter plate and a dovetail insert (ASIN model B0FGJFY9TN). The two dovetail inserts used by the different models are identical. Having installed the dovetail insert earlier from model B0FGJFY9TN, I wanted to take advantage of their similarities and switch to an RMR red dot. Purchased a Holosun 507c and installed it on the ohhunt adapter and it’s as perfectly secured as it can get. Very pleased with this solution for my Walther PD380.

You get what you pay for and in this case it’s a cheap slide plate would recommend looking elsewhere
This ohhunt red dot plate while functional left something to be desired. First the optic plate is very thick compared to other optic plates that I own so the red dot height over bore is a little more than with other plates and you will need to make adjustments to compensate. Next and this is the bigger problem the plate has a tendancy to shift under fire thus ruining zero after about 100 rounds or so in my test case. It doesn’t matter how tight you screw it down or how much thread locker you use there was no fixing it so unfortunately this optic plate is basically useless except for range guns only where you can afford to lose zero. I definitely wouldn’t use this optic plate on a firearm I would use to defend my life or my families.

Good mount. Easy installation.
I got this mount for my Glock 19 Gen 4 and it worked with no trouble at all. I’ve done a couple of optic mount installs, and this one was probably easiest of them all. The bottom of this mount required only minimal filing for a better fit and easier installation. If you’ve never done one of these, it’s honestly not hard but make sure you have the right tools and pay attention to details.There are YouTube videos where they tap out the rear iron sight with a plastic mallet on a block of wood. DON’T DO THAT. Instead, disassemble the slide and remove the spring assembly and barrel. Secure the slide in a small vice with cardboard or a thin piece of wood or plastic on either side of the slide to avoid scratching the finish. Then carefully tap the sight out with a metal punch tool.Now it’s time to install the mount. If you can’t slide the lower portion of the mount into the slide’s dovetail smoothly, I suggest filing off a little metal from the bottom (widest surface, see first photo) until you can get it at least a third of the way into the dovetail without tapping it with a hammer. Then tap it the rest of the way, using the punch tool to center it and make the final adjustments.The last part is bolting on the adapter plate with the included Torx screws, and of course, installing your optics. The whole thing from start to finish can be done in under ten minutes but I encourage you to take your time and enjoy the process. There are few things as satisfying as doing things yourself and doing them the right way the first time.

Almost works doesn’t work
Good design idea ruined by execution details. The dovetail piece is NOT press fit into the Glock, it’s too narrow and geometry is wrong – the angles on the actual Glock dovetail are much sharper. As a result, the dovetail piece is hanging on a tiny ledge way above the base, fully ready to snap out, with too much degree of freedom to shift around in recoil, ruining zero, or fly away with your expensive red dot in the most inopportune moment.This COULD have been a good solution for the people not quite ready to mill their slides. Manufacturer suggestion: get an actual Glock and machine the dovetail piece for a press fit.

Highly recommend if your slide does not have an optic cut.
Fits tight and solid for an aftermarket slide but does sit a bit too far back. I think that may be more of a slide issue but worth noting I think. Very easy to install and a great value if you do not want to buy a new slide or get your slide modified for an optic. I easily trust this to keep a solid hold on my optic as well as not loosen up and lose my zero on the optic. Great solution for adding an optic to a gun that does not have an optic cut. Highly recommend in this use-case.

Great price and value plate for glocks
For the price, this plate is a solid option that is well built and compatible with many glock models. It comes with 4 sets of screws, dovetail and tool which is a great value package. I have used other ohhunt plates and found them to be good quality and easy to install. This is no different.
