Good for what you get
This ohhunt adapter plate for RMR footprints is a good alternative for Glock handguns that don’t have an MOS cut, which allows the use of an optic without needing to get the slide cut and milled directly for a specific optic. This option allows you to knock out the rear dovetail sight and put this in place of it, mounting to the rear dovetail slot. You then take your RMR sight of choice and thread lock it on to this mountain plate adapter, giving you the option of a red dot without permanently damaging your slide to a specific sight that you may not like and costing a lot more money than this plate option is worth. This adapter plate comes with different sets of screw to use depending on your red dot, multiple style L wrenches and the plate itself. This adapter plate is specific to the RMR footprint such as a Holosun C series or Trijicon RMR style optic. For my personal use, it fits my Osight C unit and for an extra benefit, since my Taurus G3C also uses Glock style sights, this fits the rear dovetail spot on the slide, allowing me to utilize an optic on the non-TORO version of my Taurus. This optic plate adapter has many uses for multiple style pistols that use the Glock style rear sights and it’s exceptionally priced to make it affordable for anyone on a budge to be able to experience an optic on their pistol, even if just for a test run to see how they would like it before possibly milling it in the future, this offers a great experience for a great price. The adapter plate itself is made of aerospace style aluminum, which allows for a much tougher, rugged material for long term use, lightweight, corrosion resistance and should be able to withstand heat when using on a firearm for extended sessions without damaging the adapter plate or optic. This optic plate offers a lot for what it’s worth and you can’t go wrong with something this affordable and quality made. I’ve been able to hold zero with my Osight on this during a range session with ease, it seems to be reliable enough after 400 rounds of 9mm recoiling and having an accurate shot on target. Ohhunt has done an amazing job with this plate adapter. Only thing I would suggest is getting a gunsmith punch kit, using the nylon hammer and punch can make it easier to remove the sight and placing this optics adapter in place, tapping the sight onto the rear dovetail slot and mounting it in place easier. Otherwise, it’s a very easy solution to a not so serious problem that can only make your range time more exciting and enjoyable.

Solid mount once installed properly
The adapter plate fits well and holds the optic securely once everything is tightened down. Installation took a little time to get aligned correctly, but after that it stayed in place without shifting. Good option if you’re adapting a non-MOS setup.

Strong, Precise, and Perfect Fit for Non‑MOS Installations
This optic mounting plate is extremely well‑made and fits Non‑MOS Glock models exactly as advertised. It’s compatible with G17, G19, G20, G21, G22, G23, G34, G35, G40, G41, G45, and G47, making it a versatile option for a wide range of setups. Just note it’s not designed for G43X or G48.It pairs perfectly with popular red dots like the Holosun 407C/507C/508T and Trijicon RMR/SRO. The fit is tight and precise with no wobble, giving the optic a secure and stable mounting surface. The aerospace‑grade 7075‑T6 aluminum and hard anodized Type III coating make the plate feel durable and premium. It’s lightweight but extremely strong—built for long‑term reliability.Installation is straightforward, and it’s great that the necessary screws and wrench are included. The recommended torque spec (15 in/lbs) is clearly stated for a proper, secure install.Bottom Line:Durable, precise, and red‑dot ready—an excellent mounting plate for Non‑MOS Glock models. Highly recommended for anyone upgrading their optic setup.
HONEST REVIEWER –
Solid, No‑Frills Optic Mount – Works Exactly as Advertised
Every review I write reflects my own expectations and how a product measures up to them. What I consider a game‑changing innovation might be just “good enough” for someone else, and the opposite is true as well. In my experience most items land around four stars—they function as described, but they don’t wow me. To earn a five‑star rating, a product must either introduce something truly revolutionary or exceed what I anticipated in a noticeable way. With that in mind, here’s my take on the ohhunt Adapter Plate for RMR‑style red dots. What the package includesAn optic‑mount plate machined from aerospace‑grade 7075‑T6 aluminum, finished with a hard‑ anodized (Type III) coating for durability.Compatibility list that covers non‑MOS versions of the G17/19/20/21/22/23/34/35/40/41/45/47 pistols (does not work with G43x or 48).Red‑dot support for Holosun 407C, 507C, 508T and Trijicon RMR/SRO models. All necessary screws, a torque‑specified wrench, and a sight‑pusher tool for installation.Installation & FitUsing the supplied sight pusher, the plate slid onto the slide without any binding. Tightening to the recommended 15 in‑lb torque gave a tight, play‑free fit. The Holosun 407C I mounted sits squarely in the aperture and stays locked in place—no wobble after firing 100 rounds.Performance & ValueThe mount does exactly what the description promises: it holds the optic securely and aligns it properly. There are no hidden surprises or performance tricks, but that reliability is precisely what I need for a defensive pistol. Compared with having a gunsmith mill a mount directly into the slide, this adapter saves a considerable amount of money while delivering comparable results.VerdictI’m giving this adapter a solid four‑star rating. It isn’t a breakthrough accessory, but it fulfills its purpose cleanly and economically. If you own a compatible G‑series pistol and want a dependable way to attach an RMR‑style red dot without the expense of custom milling, this plate is a worthwhile investment.Disclaimer: This review is part of the Amazon Vine program and reflects my personal experience with the product.
