Just what I wanted.
Seems well made. Screws got tighten to 18 lbs inch no problems, base fitted to the Pic rail without any issues, although it turns towards you while tightening it.The real nice thing for me is the height. I wanted to install a 6-24x/50 scope without removing the rear original manufacturer iron sight and this mount allowed me to do so on my S&W M&P-15.Wonderful!

Just got this delivered and mounted today. Quality seems to be good, as with any of these inexpensive mounts make sure you don’t over torque anything – I did about 25ftlbs on the rings and about 50-55ftlbs on the base. Overall, I was looking for something with more height than a standard mount so that I can keep a more erect neck posture which helps me with quick target acquisition and better stability – this does that absolutely perfectly. It is about 1.25 inches from the top of your pic rail to the bottom of the ring. It sits about 1/4 inch higher than the monstrum high series mounts do (they sit at 1 inch for the same measurement) if you are familiar with them or comparing the two. That extra 1/4 inch for me is perfect. I’ll update this review after shooting a bit if anything goes wrong but I don’t expect that to be the case.

You get what you pay for
Bottom line, this mount is not machined straight, and the scope (vortex viper gen 2) was visibly crooked in the mount. For clarification, I mounted the scope using a wheeler leveling kit and a bench vice. I bought this mount for use on a m&p 15/22, and I was looking for an inexpensive solution, but I really got what I paid for. This may work for an airsoft gun, but not for a real rifle and real scope.

Its a $30 mount so lets be fair
As headline reads, its $30 mount so set your expectations accordingly. My 4/5 rating is based on it being that quality and my expectations. This is not comparable to a Geissele, Larue, Badger Ordance mount.It is made from weak aluminum that I would be uncomfortable betting my life on holding up in adverse conditions but it looks and feels good enough for general use. The biggest issue I observed is that the screws for the ring top hats are entirely too short. Meaning with a 30MM tube you’re only getting a few cms of thread connection. Being its weaker aluminum, those threads and screw strip VERY easily. This is the only thing that makes it a 4 star IMO vs 5 star. They could have given slightly longer screw and deeper threads to solve a lot of this things failure points. That being said, I suspect it was intentional.If you’re looking for a decent 1.93″ riser LPVO mount but not worried about superior strength and reliability. Its not a bad option.

It’s a good height over bore and holds. Idk the grade of metal but takes recoil well.Updated – the mount doesn’t sit on the rail flush. Not working for me long term.
